Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Florida Court Tracker (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your firm.

Not legal advice. The case summaries, holdings, analyses, and tags contained in the Service may be prepared with the assistance of artificial intelligence and should be verified before being relied on. This content does not constitute legal advice, does not establish an attorney-client relationship, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for independent legal research or consultation with a licensed Florida attorney.

1. The Service

Florida Court Tracker curates notable Florida appellate civil decisions, presents them in a searchable web app, and sends a weekly email digest to the recipients your firm designates. Content is derived from publicly available court opinions.

2. Accounts and your firm's responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding your login credentials.
Your firm is solely responsible for the distribution list it creates, and represents that it has an appropriate basis to send the digest to each recipient it adds. Recipients can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

Automated access and scraping. You may not use bots, scripts, crawlers, or any automated tools to access, query, copy, or extract case summaries, holdings, analyses, tags, or any other content from the Service — whether through the web interface, the API, or any other means.
Bulk extraction. You may not systematically download or export the case database or any substantial portion of it, regardless of the method used.
Redistribution. You may not resell, sublicense, republish, or redistribute the Service's compiled content — including AI-generated summaries, holdings, and analyses — as part of a competing or derivative product.
Credential sharing. You may not share login credentials with individuals outside your firm or in excess of your licensed seat count.
Circumventing access controls. You may not attempt to access data, features, or tracks beyond those covered by your subscription, or attempt to circumvent any technical or access controls.
Interference. You may not interfere with the Service's operation, security, or infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account we reasonably believe is violating these restrictions, and to pursue all available legal remedies for unauthorized use or misappropriation of the Service's content.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans, where offered, are billed through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, and compiled case database are owned by us and provided under a limited, non-transferable right to use them for your firm's internal business purposes. Underlying court opinions are public records and are not our property.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the case summaries are complete, current, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Case coverage and analysis are generated in part by automated tools and may contain omissions or inaccuracies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on case summaries. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount your firm paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your firm's use of the Service in violation of these Terms, including claims relating to recipients you added to your distribution list.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in Florida.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
