Teresa Gaffney v. Phillip A. Baumann, etc., et al.
The Florida Supreme Court imposed a pro se filing bar on Teresa Gaffney after she filed her fifth meritless petition for review arising from the same Hillsborough County estate-related circuit court cases. The Court ordered its Clerk to reject any future pro se filings by Gaffney related to those two cases unless signed by a Florida Bar member in good standing who certifies the proceeding may have merit and can be brought in good faith. The ruling also followed a previously granted $2,500 attorney's fees sanction against Gaffney in favor of respondent's counsel.
