The Fifth DCA reversed a final judgment of foreclosure because the trial court failed to state specific, non-conclusory reasons for granting summary judgment as required by Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.510(a). Following the Florida Supreme Court's 2021 overhaul of the summary judgment rule, trial courts must provide reasoning on the record with enough specificity to guide the parties and permit appellate review.
