James M. Cuyler v. Freedom Mortgage Corporation

Case No. 2025-2101

The Second District dismissed a pro se appeal of four nonfinal orders in a mortgage foreclosure action for lack of appellate jurisdiction. A dismissal without prejudice that does not require filing a new case is nonfinal, and none of the challenged orders, including the order dismissing the punitive damages request, fell within the categories of appealable nonfinal orders under rule 9.130(a)(3).
