In re: Amendments to the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure

The Florida Supreme Court adopted the Appellate Court Rules Committee's proposed amendments to Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure 9.020, 9.147, 9.180, 9.200, 9.320, 9.340, 9.420, 9.800, and 9.900, effective January 1, 2024. Changes include a new tolling motion under rule 9.020(h)(1)(M), revised workers' compensation appellate deadlines under rule 9.180, a change to the timing of oral argument requests in discretionary review proceedings under rule 9.320, and elimination of the paper-service requirement for original jurisdiction petitions under rule 9.420(c).
