In re: Amendments to the Florida Evidence Code
On a fast-track report from the Bar's Code and Rules of Evidence Committee, the Florida Supreme Court adopted, to the extent procedural, newly enacted section 90.2035, Florida Statutes, governing judicial notice of images, maps, distances, and calculations taken from web mapping services, satellite imaging sites, or Internet mapping tools. The adoption is retroactive to the date the legislation became law, with a 75-day comment period.
