In Re: Amendments to Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.530 and 2.540
The Florida Supreme Court amended Rule 2.540 (Requests for Accommodations by Persons with Disabilities) to require ADA notice language in all court notices — whether issued by a judge or filed by an attorney or party, including summonses — and updated the prescribed font from Times New Roman/Courier to Bookman Old Style/Arial, with 'ADA Coordinator' replacing reference to a specific individual. Effective July 1, 2026. The Court separately declined to adopt a proposed Rule 2.530 amendment on audio-visual deposition technology, instead referring the matter to the Civil Procedure Rules Committee for consideration under Rule 1.310.
