The Florida Supreme Court consolidated two Civil Procedure Rules Committee reports and adopted amendments to Rules 1.100, 1.201, 1.310, 1.351, 1.545, and Form 1.983, effective January 1, 2027. Most notably, new rule 1.351(b)(6) requires that an objection to a nonparty subpoena state with specificity the grounds and reasons, and amended rule 1.351(c)(7) provides that production is barred until the objection is resolved under subdivision (d) or by agreement. The Court declined to require that all nonparty-subpoena objections be filed with the court and declined to limit production under rule 1.310(b)(5) to the deposition itself.
