In re: Amendments to Florida Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.215
Acting on recommendations from the Workgroup on Judicial Practices in the Trial Courts, the Florida Supreme Court amended Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.215 to require that individual judge and divisional practices and procedures, local rules, and general/continuing administrative orders be published on each circuit's website. The amendments also prohibit judges or divisions from requiring communication with the court solely by written letter and bar practices that contradict established law or rules of procedure. Effective January 1, 2024, with a 75-day comment period.
