In re: Amendments to Florida Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.130
On its own motion, the Florida Supreme Court amended Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.130 to create a new subdivision (a)(3)(I) authorizing interlocutory appeal of nonfinal orders that determine entitlement to arbitration, confirm or deny confirmation of an arbitration award (or partial award), or modify, correct, or vacate an arbitration award. The arbitration-entitlement language was moved out of subdivision (a)(3)(C)(iv), which now covers only entitlement to an appraisal under an insurance policy. The Court adopted the published proposal over the Appellate Court Rules Committee's opposition, effective July 1, 2024.
